"In the tradition of Sanatana Dharma, the protection of ancestral truth and personal identity is a sacred duty. This policy outlines how the Royal Brahmin Secretariat safeguards your lineage and data."
To maintain an accurate digital registry of the Brahmin diaspora, we collect two categories of information:
- Personal Identity: Name, contact details, residency, and professional expertise provided during registration.
- Lineage Data (Kulam): Ancestral Gotra, Veda Shakha, Pravara details, and family tree records (Pidi) submitted for archival preservation.
The information entrusted to the Royal Brahmin Secretariat is used strictly for:
- Verifying and mapping the global distribution of Brahmin sub-sects.
- Facilitating connectivity between verified community members.
- Archiving genealogical records for future generations of your specific lineage.
- Distributing scholarly bulletins and Vedic research insights.
Public vs. Private Records
By default, your **Name, Gotra, and Expertise** are visible in our Member Registry to foster community. However, detailed family trees and sensitive ancestral manuscripts are stored in our **Secure Archive** and are only visible to verified family members or designated researchers upon request.
We implement industry-standard encryption and "Secretariat-grade" security protocols to protect your data from unauthorized access. Your lineage is preserved on secured servers with regular backups to ensure the eternal safety of your family history.
As a registered member, you hold the following rights over your records:
- The right to correct or update your ancestral dossier.
- The right to restrict the visibility of your profile in the public directory.
- The right to request the permanent withdrawal of your records from the archive.
